Your Jacksonville Offshore Fishing Adventure Awaits!

Offshore Fishing Charters in Jacksonville, Florida

Welcome to MACSEA Fishing

Jacksonville's offshore waters are where the big fish live.

Wahoo, blackfin tuna, mahi mahi, cobia, grouper and snapper all call these waters home at different times of the year, and MACSEA Fishing is built to go get them.

Trips run from a half day up to 11 hours. Runs past 40 miles happen when the fishing calls for it, and Capt. Mark has gone as far as 70 miles offshore to put anglers on fish.

Capt. Mark Hamilton is a lifelong fisherman and Navy veteran who has always wanted to run his own charter. With MACSEA Fishing, he gets to share his love of fishing with families, friends and fellow anglers who want to experience Jacksonville from the water.

FISHING JACKSONVILLE

A Lot of Ocean Worth Exploring

Jacksonville is a fun place to be an angler because you're not limited to one kind of water, one type of structure or one fish to chase.

Reefs, wrecks and hard bottom hold snapper, grouper and cobia. Run farther and the game changes: blue water, trolling spreads and fast species like wahoo, blackfin tuna, mahi mahi and sailfish.

That gives us options every time we leave the dock.

We can change spots, change tactics and follow the bite instead of depending on one fishing hole to produce all day.

And the species mix keeps things interesting. Wahoo hit at blistering speed. Mahi bring color and acrobatics. Blackfin tuna pull hard and don't quit. Grouper and snapper put up a fight from the bottom and fill the cooler with some of the best eating fish in the ocean.

More range. More options. And plenty of reasons to wonder what's going to hit next.

MEET THE CAPTAIN

Capt. Mark Hamilton

Lifelong Fisherman. Navy Veteran. Finally Living the Dream.

Capt. Mark Hamilton has been fishing his whole life, and running his own charter business is something he's wanted to do for years.

Before the Navy, Mark worked as a mate on multiple boats from Key Largo through Islamorada, chasing mahi, sailfish, tuna and wahoo and putting in plenty of time bottom fishing. That's where he learned the offshore game from the deck up.

After a career in the Navy, Mark is turning that longtime dream into MACSEA Fishing and spending his next chapter doing what he loves.
His approach is pretty simple: get out there, find fish and make sure the people aboard have a good time doing it.

That makes MACSEA Fishing a great fit for longtime anglers, families and first-timers alike. You don't need to show up knowing everything about saltwater fishing. Just come ready to get involved and enjoy the day.

For Capt. Mark, getting to take people fishing isn't just another job.

It's what he's always wanted to do.

WHAT WE CATCH

Jacksonville Offshore Species

IMG_0002.JPG

The season, conditions and movement of bait all play a role in what might be biting when we leave the dock.

  • Wahoo: Fast, aggressive and built for speed, wahoo are one of the most exciting fish in the Atlantic and the star of our seasonal Extended Day Wahoo trip.

  • Blackfin Tuna: Hard-pulling and great on the table, blackfin tuna are a favorite offshore target.

  • Mahi Mahi: Bright colors, big jumps and fast action. When mahi show up, everybody on the boat gets busy.

  • Grouper: Black, gag, red and scamp grouper live around Jacksonville's reefs, wrecks and hard bottom, and they'll test your arms on the way up.

  • Snapper: Mangrove, mutton and vermilion snapper bring steady action around structure and some of the best fillets you'll ever take home.

  • Cobia: Powerful fish that can show up around structure and on the move during the right time of year.

And More - Kingfish, amberjack, triggerfish, sailfish and more are all possible depending on the trip and the season.

That's part of the fun. Let's go see what's biting.
